I get so frustrated sometimes. Recently I have come to terms with the fact that I associate with people that are not good for me or that I honestly couldn't care less about and am trying to remedy that. For the past 4 years I have been totally okay with the whole concept of losing "friends" and moving on, but I'm in a rut and can't seem to let go of someone. No matter how many times I remind myself of how bad they are for me or how much stress they add on my life, I just can't. The last time I tried to reach out and reconnect with this person (after months of silence) I was cursed at and called a liar. I'm still not sure why. I think the reason this bugs me so much is because I have no clue what I did wrong. You can hate me as much as you want, I don't care about that, just have a good reason. Other people have told me that this person goes through ups and downs like this every so often and cuts people off for no reason.. but thats not a good enough for me to want them out of my life. Gah, I hate this. Why do I have to care so much about them? After all the dumb things that have happened.. after being pushed away only to be pulled back even closer and then avoided like the plague. I can't deal with this anymore. More than anyone else I wish they were back in my life but I don't know if I am strong enough. |

I just watched my friend Damien lead a choir on the CMT music awards.. WITH KEITH URBAN. Gosh, he is so hot.
Damien wanted me to be in that too.. if he would have told me it was freakin for Keith Urban of course I would have.
Dang.
I could have been on the country music awards. but most of all I could have been close to Keith Urban.

So, another day spent at home wide awake at 4 in the morning.
My mom left a few minutes ago to fly to Virginia. She is visiting some family that she hasn't seen in years, according to her my dad isn't too happy about it. They have been weird lately but what do I know? It was weird. She came into my room knowing that I would probably be wide awake and asked me to do her hair and make-up. ME! I don't know jack about make-up and I barely do my own hair but whatever. She looked so pitiful from being both sick AND tired (not to be confused with sick-and-tired). I think that was the longest we have gone being stuck in the same room without arguing since I have been home. I guess we will see if the streak continues when she gets back next week.
I watched an old Christmas video last night from 1994 and wow, I sucked. That was NOT a cute year for me. Seriously, I was way annoying and a total spaz.. I had to turn it off it was so bad. The fact that my cousins received Counting Crows shirts makes up for it alittle though.
Oh yeah.. just in case you didnt know, Christmas was the other day. That was cool. |

Yesterday was totally fun. Katy and I got to hang out for the first time in ages. We did a lot of talking about people from high school and where the are now.. I have to say, we are totally in better shape than them. I found out what one of my christmas presents is.. I'm SO excited. Singing Brick, eating Bs, and hating Coheed.. good times.
Then I went to Pauly Shore night at Dori's (okay actually I met up with Tiff and Jonathan first). Dori got me a NKOTB VHS tape so last night Pauly Shore was a new kid. Late night ice cream runs are great, esp when you hardly eat the ice cream. For some reason we chugged eggnog, I'm not sure why, but after that Billy passed out and Dori and I hacked into Andy's myspace. We thought it was funny, he definitely did not. Then to my fave part of the night.. pick on Logan time. You can figure out what I mean from these pictures..

Holy crap.. Jesse and I went to Krystals after we got off work to have "band talk" time, and I saw Andre. Any of you who have been at CPV more than 4 years should know Andre.. looks kind of like a bear, was in conservatory, from BG, sweetheart. Anyway, he looked really familiar so I asked him if he ever went to CPV. Of course, he had. I got to talk to him for alittle but which was cool. Turns out he is doing really good and is like a manager or something. PLUS, he said he would give me a discount whenever I came back. I guess I should go to Krystals more often, ha. |

Friday night I got to see the FABULOUS Jesse Conway. He ended up driving all the way to Nashville to see Anathallo so I had the pleasure of shaking his hand and marveling at his beard. Its been awhile since camp. Casey drank a lot, I was very UN-indie, Amy was quiet, and Dori laughed a lot. Just in case any of you may have a preconceived notion about this.. no, I cannot parallel park!
The rest of my weekend I spent sleeping.. a lot. Oh, and studying.. a little. Sunday morning I sang at church in praise with Derek Holt and Adam. Anyone who knows me SHOULD know that I am shy as crap and esp hate getting up in front of people. For me singing in front of other people is a big deal, even more so around musically incline people or just about anyone I am not best of friends with. It was def a weird experience.
Today after Redfoot played we went to FAC and looked at the Pink exhibit. I had heard the artist speak the night before so I wasn't as offended by some of her artwork. It was interesting as I explained it to my friends how their views of some of the pieces changed. I can see how it is controversial but I LOVED it. I miss the arts, oh how I was once young and cultured.

Last night was totally awesome. Anathallo rocked my faced off and I can't wait for them to do it again tonight. Philip and Nathan kind of got stuck in BG and after they called everyone and their mom I took them back to Oboro. The whole time I was worried about getting up for Trafton in the morning.. we have a test Monday and I REALLY didn't need to miss class. I finally get to sleep at like 3 something.. Good news is I actually got up in time, bad news is I couldn't go like 5 seconds without coughing.. this went on for like an hour. So I decided against going to class anyways because I would have just been a distraction and wouldn't have been able to take notes anyway. SUCK! Today I was supposed to give Rebecca notes too. I guess I will just have to meet up with her Saturday. hmmmm. |
